Education is the core of PAL’s mission. We believe every child deserves the chance to read, write, and think critically, no matter their background. Our education programs close the gaps left by overcrowded schools, spark curiosity, and create pathways for lifelong learning. Under Education as a pillar, we have the following programs;
PAL’s Community Tutoring Program supports children after school with homework help and structured lessons. What began in 2013 with 15 children has grown to over 250 learners annually, many advancing to senior high school, vocational training, and university.
Children gain stronger academic skills, mentorship, and confidence while building discipline and responsibility. The program bridges critical learning gaps left by overcrowded public schools and creates a safe space for growth.
“Every child deserves a chance to learn, grow, and succeed one lesson at a time.”
With 250+ children currently enrolled, PAL is working to close the tutor-to-student gap and ensure consistent, high-quality learning experiences.
Launched in 2018, the PAL Mobile Library brings literacy directly to children in underserved communities, advancing SDG 4: Quality Education. Through reading sessions, storytelling, and spelling bees, it makes learning fun while strengthening comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, and communication skills.
The program creates a love for reading, closes literacy gaps, and equips children with essential language skills for both school and life.
The PAL Builders & Innovators Program equips underserved children with digital literacy, coding, and robotics skills through hands-on IT training. Structured as a 3-month cohort program, it introduces learners to the world of technology and prepares them for future opportunities in an increasingly digital world.
Our first pilot enrolled 9 learners, each with access to a laptop and guided by facilitators. Children were introduced to the basics of computing from turning on and navigating a laptop to understanding its core functions. This foundational training helps demystify technology and builds confidence in using digital tools.
PAL aims to scale the program to impact 10,000 children over the next decade, ensuring that no child is left behind in the digital age.
At PAL, we recognize that children thrive when learning is active and engaging. Many of our learners struggle with long hours of seated study, but through creative arts they find new ways to focus, express themselves, and stay involved.
The HeartArt Program uses drawing, painting, drama, and other creative activities to help children communicate what they cannot always put into words. These sessions improve attention span, spark imagination, and build confidence.
We host 2–4 art-focused sessions each year, creating opportunities for children to explore their creativity and showcase their unique talents.
